Budapest's Largest Urban Development Has Begun

The local municipal authorities recently approved the ambitious design for the so-called Budapart neighbourhood witha 120-metre high skyscraper in Kopaszi Dam, the largest singular urban development in Budapest for almost 30 years.

An ultra-modern residential and office quarter

Adept won the commission to design the new urban area with a masterplan based on a distorted grid structure with references to both historic and modern parts of the city. Budapart is ADEPT’s first project in Hungary and was developed in close collaboration with the client Property Market. Construction of the first buildings have already started in the 54 ha mixed-use neighbourhood, where built property will count 600.000 m2 total.  Budapart is located on the Buda side of the Danube River in the XI Újbuda district, one of Budapest´s largest living and working districts and is currently a highly desirable location on both the residential and the office property market.

Environmentally friendly, state-of-the-art office buildings

Office buildings will encircle the new residential buildings along the roads that define the boundaries of the rejuvenated area. A shopping street with restricted traffic flow is developed between these two functional areas to also house numerous restaurants. The plans call for several sports grounds, hotels, kindergartens, and fitness/spa facilities to contribute to the healthy recreation close to inhabitants and workers within this comfortable, relaxed, and yet energetic environment in Buda.
